more from the Doing List, holiday mad libs

Another item on the doing list was creating holiday mad libs.
We have made our own mad libs before (oh the fun ways to explore English without workbooks!).  This time instead of writing our own stories we used Christmas & winter stories, poems, and songs.

Here is an example using Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:

You know noun and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen,
you know noun and the name of a Roman god and Donner and Blitzen,
But do you verb
The most adjective animal of all
Rudolph the color-body part Reindeer
Had a very adjective nose
And if you ever verb past tense it
You would even say it verb
All of the other animal plural
Used to verb and verb him plural noun
They never let adjective Rudolph
Join in any reindeer plural noun
Then one adjective a Holiday,
a famous person came to say,
Rudolph with your noun so adjective,
Won't you verb my noun tonight

Then how all the reindeer loved him,
As they verb past tense out with noun,
Rudolph the color-nose Reindeer
You'll go down in a school subject!
