homesteading on the frontier

Beach spent the morning working on her farmstead for her pioneer family settling in the Utah Territory in the year 1860.  

We drew a few different plot maps.  Worked through the last of the questions from Letter One. 

We also did some reading in her Utah History book and a Moving West booklet then put on The Frontier House (PBS).   

So if the Ries family and their neighbors the Browns are all settled in it looks like Emmy is ready for her next letter!
