Beach turns 14! Friday the 13th Superstition Party (game included)

Feeling lucky? Please join us for a night of luck and superstition...

 Rule of the game: Each of you has an envelope with your name on it. Inside are 3 cards to start you off.  Those cards are charming but be warned some cards you will receive tonight are lucky others are not.  Throughout the night any number of curses will strike our party.  If you are stricken with a curse follow the instructions on the card carefully. Some curses after being cured are passed on to others.  Some traded in for lucky charms. Some give you the choice between cursing someone else or collecting a charm. Some are just mean!

If you are passing a curse on to someone else and they choose to use a lucky charm to avoid the curse YOU get to keep their lucky charm but you also have to keep going until you find a victim to pass your card to. Curses will get worn out. If you find yourself with a curse card no one will take or everyone has already had please come see me >evil laugh<. There will be many chances to win lucky charms. They can be used to avoid having to do a curse BUT you may want to hold onto them instead because the person with the most lucky charms at the end of the party wins a prize!

You were walking into gym and a black cat crossed right in front of you!!! Oh no, you are cursed! To break this curse you must MEOW the whole happy birthday song to Beach.  If you are Beach you must go stand on a high beam and MEOW twinkle twinkle little star. You may turn this curse in for a lucky charm. 

Upside down horseshoe are a sign that your luck is running out. Well is it? Let’s find out go get 7 friends and without any help, hints, words, etc put them in order according to the month their birthdays are in.  Get it right and you get 3 lucky charms for yourself.  Get it wrong the 7 helping (or not helping) each get a charm!

You were walking into gym and a black cat crossed right in front of you!!! Oh no, you are cursed! To break this curse you must moonwalk on the beam. You may turn this curse in for a lucky charm OR pass the curse on to someone else!

Hey, lucky number seven! No really. This is lucky.  All you need to do is find a few friends to help you act out a shampoo commercial. After you get it done you may turn this in for a lucky charm for yourself or pass the curse on to someone else- your choice!  

While getting ready for your meet you got a little carried away doing that dance from Regional Camp and broke the mirror you were lip-sinking with.  Well, well, the only way out of this instead of speaking your words you must sing them for the next 4 minutes.  When your time is up pass this curse on to a friend.

A black cat has crossed your path on a meet day! You are cursed into silence. YOU MUST NOT SPEAK!!! Without saying a word go directly to the preschool floor and begin doing yoga. You need to regain your peaceful centered self and find your inner voice. To break this curse you must get 3 other friends to do a series of yoga moves with you.  Remember you cannot talk!!!!  You must convince them to join you without words! All of you will receive lucky charms for completing this curse.

Your whole family was walking out the door to go skydiving and your little brother thinking he was being funny opens an umbrella INSIDE the HOUSE!!!! Oh no, you are cursed.  You must speak like Mary Poppins for the next 4 minutes! When your 4 minutes are up please pass the curse on to anyone you choose. 

You were running late to gym and didn’t see it until it was too late- you just walked under a ladder!!! Dang-it, you are cursed! To break this curse you need to get 13 people to line up in a straight line on the preschool floor and do the can-can. All 13 will receive lucky charms for curing this curse.

Your car broke down 13 miles outside of Las Vegas on the way the way to Lady Luck. 13 of your teammates drove past you stranded on the side of the road.  You got 13 snapchats telling you that Derick & Lindsay added 13 upgraded skills to your routines.  Then you get a text telling you there are 13 girls from Northern California in your age bracket. When you finally check into the South Point your room is on the 13th floor in room 1313.  You seem to be cursed!  To break this curse you must clear the competition floor to perform a floor routine comprised of 13 different teammate’s signature moves.  You can have as much help as you need so find some teammates to help you with your choreography. You may turn this curse in for 3 lucky charms.

You were late going to break from bars.  When you got there the only person left in the kitchen was BINDIE!!! Quickly you hide your packet of donuts and pull the hard boiled egg out of the fridge that your mother packed for you LAST month that you forgot about…. A month old hard boiled egg!!!! YIKES! but with Bindie watching what else can you do? So you peel it, salt it, and eat it. The curse of the hard boiled egg makes itself known on vault! To break this curse you must find teammates to help you spell out the word BAD EGG with your bodies on the floor. All of those helping you will receive a lucky charm.

Oh no you spilled the salt at lunch and forgot to toss it over your shoulder. Curses, you have a meet today! Don’t panic you can get luck back on your side all you have to do is walk around the beams showing them off like you are a used car salesman.  Once you have shown them all off return this curse for a lucky charm.

In some parts of Turkey you may want to think twice before whipping out the chewing gum. There is a belief that if you are chewing gum at night it is actually rotting dead flesh.  That’s just gross! But you know what is grosser? Band-Aids at the bottom of the foam pit. I just thought you should know.  Now you can turn this card in for a lucky charm. 

What’s worse than finding an upside down horseshoe? Finding an it on an upside down horse! Curses, your horse is upside down.  Go to lay on your back like a crazy upside down horse on the high beam until someone laughs at you.  The person to laugh first gets the curse too.  This curse is very contagious it gets passed around until there is no one else laughing at it.  That unlucky soul must use a lucky charm to get free of the curse.

Witches. Yep, I said witches.  They are judging your bars routine today.  Please find 3 friends to go to bars with you and complete the lowest level of bars routine you know. Then pass this curse on.

Some believe that a photograph can steal your soul. And what was that someone just snapped a photo of you. Curses! The only way out of this is to go strike a pose- actually 7 poses, walk the runway like a high fashion model making sure to hit 7 poses.  Then pass this curse on to someone else.  And while you are at it make them give you one of their lucky charms for sharing such a great curse with them!!!

It’s believed that the amount of crows in a murder has the ability to predict your fortune as exemplified by the popular phrase: “One’s bad / Two’s luck / Three’s health / Four’s wealth / Five’s sickness / Six is death.”  Feeling lucky? Sweet. Go roll the dice and see what luck has in store for you….

You are last on beam.  All your teammates have stuck their routines. It’s now up to you. You knock on wood for good luck except you should have done it before your leap series and not with your BUM!!! Dang, that is bad luck. Go hang upside down under the beam in shame and while you are at it get 2 friends to do it with you. Then turn this curse in for a lucky charm for each of you.

You are last on bars.  All your teammates have stuck their routines. It’s now up to you to finish strong. You knock on wood for good luck except you should have done it before your giant and not with your head on the bar!! Dang, that is bad luck. Go hang upside down on the bars in shame.  While you are there sing 2 rounds of Row Row Your Boat.  Then you can either turn this card in for a lucky charm or you can pass the curse on to a friend.

If you successfully cure yourself you can pass this curse on to anyone you want and make them give you 2 of their lucky charms.  If you fail to ONLY talk in question form then you must try your luck with the dice- come see me >evil laugh<.

Witches. Yep, I said witches. There are back! Sitting at the judges table down at vault. Hope this goes well…. I mean what could go wrong on vault? Nothing if you create your vault and have 2 friends judge you on it.  Turn your scores in for lucky charms for all 3 of you!

Hey, do you know why a rabbit’s foot is considered a lucky charm? Yeah, me neither. Hop on over to me to trade this in for a lucky charm- BUT really you have to hop to me no matter where I am in the gym or I won’t give you one.

There are many superstitions associated with brooms about sweeping in or out good luck but there is one very curious FACT that I want to caution you on. If a mom hands you a broom….. She wants you to sweep with it. Scary, but true.  Come see me for a lucky charm or if you are feeling lucky a roll of the dice! 

Find a penny pick it up all day long you will have good luck! And after 100 days you will have enough money to buy beef jerky in the pro shop! What? That’s good information.  Did you want something else, like a lucky charm? Okay you can trade this bit in for a lucky charm now OR you can hold onto it hoping to get more of these penny cards. Get and keep 10 of them and you will win a prize!

While getting ready for your meet you got a little carried away with the hair spray and now you like you got electrocuted. Dang. No time to redo it.  I have an idea go find a friend who will let you fix them some crazy hair.  Show it off to Beach, unless you are Beach then show it off to Sophie. If you are Sophie show it off to someone with the letter “P” in their name.  Once you are done you both (whoever you are) get lucky charms.

Hey, lucky number seven! No really. This is lucky.  All you need to do is sing the line “We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” 7 times while standing on one of the vault tables. After you are done you may turn this in for a lucky charm or pass the curse on to someone else- your choice!

You my friend, must be a gambler. Come try your luck at the dice….evil laugh!

Your “meet-hair” is a disaster, you put your competition leo on inside out, you have a beam bite that looks like the state of Texas, AND for whatever reason Donna and Heather are the judges at every event you have had today. Your day couldn’t get any worse!! Or can it?! Nope, this is your lucky day. Go sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Beach (if you are Beach, sing it to yourself!) and turn this card in for 3 lucky charms.
