The rules were she needed at least 2 Domains: 

Bead Buds (single hole organisms and Button Buds two hole organisms).

And 2 cases of parallel evolution:

Development of 4 holes and loss of flatness.

Characteristics she used to classify the buttons included the number of holes (1,2,4 or none), size, color (straight or shell/pearl), shape (flatness or loss of flatness/development of small loop, development of a dimple), and material (plastic, shell, or metal).

Course Description: This course is designed for the student to explore biology with an emphasis on basic cell structure and function, metabolism and energy transformation, genetics, evolution, and classification.   Weekly Biology lessons will be presented on Mondays.  Reading and assignments are to be done independently by the student.  Quizzes and finished work will be due on the Friday of the week it was assigned unless otherwise arranged.
