Shou-sugi ban

The term “Shou-Sugi-Ban” is Japanese (焼杉板). It literally translates to “burnt cedar board”. The centuries old Japanese technique of charring “Sugi” cedar planks is used as a method for coloring, finishing and preserving siding, decking, and fencing.

BC has used Shou-Sugi-Ban on other jobs.  It is easy to see why clients and Interior Designers LOVE it.  Nice work Moab crew. Charring ceder in 103 degree heat is not for the faint!
